Check out the story below from a group of amazing volunteers bringing life-saving skills to the communities of Lanarkshire.
“Team Wishaw ED are Caroline, Laura, Fiona, Fiona and Michelle. A group of five registered nurses who work in Wishaw General Hospital Emergency and Coronary Care Departments. We got together as a group when we saw an opportunity to teach CPR to children in primary schools around Lanarkshire.
We found Save a life for Scotland and have been working alongside them to provide CPR training to over 1600 children so far in just a few months.
We are trying to increase that number and our aim is to have taught 3000 pupils by the new year.
In October this year we were overwhelmed to be nominated and shortlisted to receive the Community First Aid Champion Award in the St. Andrew’s Scottish First Aid Awards 2017.”
Well done to Team Wishaw ED! Keep up the awesome work!
