In support of Save A Life For Scotland campaign, Health Secretary Shona Robison undertook CPR training with Scottish Ambulance Service paramedics this week.
She took time during a visit to the City Station in Edinburgh to request training in CPR. Ms. Robison said, “We know that around half of people in Scotland have not received CPR training. And that is why our Out of Hospital Cardiac Arrest Strategy aims to ensure an extra half a million people learn CPR skills – saving 1,000 more lives by 2020. As I found out when being trained by Scottish Ambulance Service paramedics this week, hands-only CPR is quick and easy to learn. There are free classes available as well as online tutorials and I would encourage everyone to learn CPR. You never know when these life-saving skills may be needed.”
