Glasgow Heart Beats

Goals, Saves, Tough Tackling, and CPR of course!

Glasgow Heart Beats

On Sunday we joined Glasgow Heart Beats at their 5-A-Side football tournament.

8 Teams competed in 19 matches raising funds for the The British Heart Foundation all while learning CPR on the sidelines!

The organiser of the tournament was Martin Donaldson, inspired to support the charity after being born with a heart defect called Tetralogy of Fallot – also known as blue baby syndrome.

Sadly, Martin lost his brother (aged 46), 2 years ago to a sudden cardiac arrest. He is a keen supporter of Save a Life for Scotland and believes that equipping people with CPR skills is essential and can help save lives.

His passion to work toward raising awareness around heart health is truly an inspiration and we were so excited to be a part of the day – bring on the next tournament!
