We showed 100 teachers how to teach CPR to their pupils.
Save a Life for Scotland Team, alongside Scottish Ambulance Service Community Resilience staff and volunteers and St John Scotland volunteer, visited Firrhill High School in Edinburgh on 19th September 2025.
Deputy Head Teacher Alice Clegg supported bringing together circa 100 teachers into the assembly hall at the school for a CPR and defib awarness sessions. This valuable time was spent showing how to teach their pupils effective compressions and explaining the steps to using a defibrillator.
This high school will be involved in the Restart a Heart Live event on 1st October 2025 and the teacher gained the confidence to support their pupils during the event.
This was a fantastic group and we really appreciate their warm welcome and enthusiasm for learning and teaching lifesaving skills.
