The Scottish experts in Out of Hospital Cardiac Arrest will meet on Saturday 30th September at the Scottish Community Resuscitation Conference 2017 organised by our partner East Neuk First Responders and the University of St Andrews.
This is a major event in the calendar for Out of Hospital Cardiac Arrest specialists. There will be exciting talks and activities and it is a fantastic opportunity to learn what groups and individuals can do to help survival in their communities. The whole day will be dedicated to education, information and promotion of community resuscitation to improve survival from cardiac arrest. It is open to all interested in community resuscitation, whether professionals, charities or individuals. There are still a few places left and you can book here.
On this occasion, we will present the Newton Award to recognise the work done by many individuals throughout the country to make sure more people go back to their families after suffering from a cardiac arrest. Gregor Newton suffered from a cardiac arrest at home and thanks to the dedication of several people, an amazing chain of survival set off to help him and his life was saved.
If you know somebody you think deserves the prize, nominate them – we want to hear all of your stories! Nominations close at midnight on Friday 15th September 2017.
Keep an eye on our website and social media pages for the result!
