Scotland Against Coronavirus

At the core of Save a Life for Scotland, we are a public health campaign that facilitates the work of a partnership with a common ambition to save lives and a firm belief that everyone has the power to help save lives in their own hands.

These values continue to hold true even through times of crisis. From hand washing, self isolation, social distancing to safely supporting local communities and staying informed, we must all take collective action to protect those most at risk.

We are so lucky to be working in partnership with the most amazing organisations who are tirelessly working in response to Covid-19. This includes those working on the front lines, those providing accurate and up-to-date information and resources, and those organising initiatives to support local and vulnerable communities.

It’s heartwarming to see the many ways Scotland is coming together to help those who need it most during these difficult times. Today, we wanted to highlight the work being done by one of our partners, Chest Heart and Stroke Scotland, on their “Scotland Against Coronavirus” initiative. This volunteer drive is seeking to fight coronavirus with kindness by recruiting volunteers to support the most vulnerable and at risk in our society. CHSS have put forward several new roles that will help support those who are feeling lonely, isolated and scared. These roles include:

People who are over 50, smoke and also live alone, have mobility issues or use medical oxygen are at greatest risk of fire in the home in Scotland.
